AHELP, the Animal Hospice End of Life Palliative Care Project, is a coalition of veterinarians, allied animal service providers and pet owners interested in providing education about in-home caregiving, hospice care, and end-of-life options for companion animals and their families.

As the human hospice model shows, supporting the family as they are providing increased caregiving empowers them and naturally promotes a healthy grieving process. Studies show that a fulfilling end-of-life experience results in the client’s return to their veterinarian’s practice with their next pet.
